Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply between you and Arty Start. By enrolling your child/children with Arty Start, you agree that you have read and consent to the following terms and conditions

  1. You must disclose all relevant information about your child in the enrolment application.
  2. All relevant medical, behavioural or additional information regarding the enrolled child/children must be declared in writing, at the time of registration and an appropriate health management plan for a declared medical condition must be provided by you.
  3. Children are to be accompanied to and from the class or workshop venue by a parent or guardian 
  4. Students are expected to be punctual for class and are to be collected promptly at the end of the class or workshop.
  5. Doors may be locked during class for security reasons.
  6. All students have the right to be involved in a positive environment, maintaining positive relationships; bullying, inappropriate comments or inappropriate behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated and anybody responsible for this behaviour may be removed from class.
  7. If your child continuously demonstrates inappropriate behavior, you will be notified and your child may be removed from the class.  Arty Start reserves the right to refuse admission to any  participant who poses a disciplinary problem or disrupts other students in their learning.  
  8. Students are expected to respect fellow artists’ artwork and property.
  9. All relevant medical, behavioural or additional information regarding the enrolled child/children must be declared in writing, at the time of registration and an appropriate health management plan for a declared medical condition must be provided by you.
  10. If your child has special needs, Arty Start must have a written description prior to enrolment being accepted.
  11. Parents or an allocated responsible adult must be contactable at all times during a class or workshop.
  12. Children should bring a smock or apron to art, to be worn to protect clothing from paint.
  13. No nuts or products containing nuts are to be brought to class.
  14. Children are to be escorted to and from the venue by a parent or an allocated responsible adult.

 

Payments and bookings

  1. Payment must be made in full at the time of enrolment in order to secure a booking.
  2. Enrolments must be via online form where these terms and conditions must be electronically agreed to.
  3. By enrolling your child/children you acknowledge and consent to authorise Arty Start to use for publicity and advertising purposes photographs of participants at courses unless indicated otherwise in writing to Arty Start.
  4. No refunds will be provided to participants removed for behavioural reasons
  5. You are responsible for communicating with Centrelink to determine and obtain child care benefits. 

 

Refunds and cancellations

  1. Arty Start reserves the right to cancel or amend any class or workshop.
  2. In the event of a class or workshop being cancelled by Arty Start, an alternative class or workshop may be offered.  
  3. Holiday workshop and weekly class fees are non-refundable - and must be paid for upon invoicing.
  4. Refunds will not be given for partial attendance nor will make up sessions be provided.
  5. In the event of medical illness, if 24 hour notice or more is given, you may be offered weekly classes as credit for non attendance to a workshop or a missed class.  No credit nor refund will be available if less than 24 hour notice is given.

 

Indemnity and Release

You acknowledge that Arty Start, its staff, instructors and agents are released from all liability that may arise from injury or damage to property, howsoever caused arising out of participation in any Arty Start class or workshop, or in any way whatsoever and you agree to indemnify Arty Start, its staff, instructors and agents from and against all liability, damages and claims in respect thereof.
